Pretty sure nobody can give you a step-by-step for this. The '74 chassis expects suspended pedals, and the 60s body is set up for through-floor pedals. Suggest you get the '74-80 parts book and refer to the pictures, if you don't have a '74 vehicle to refer to.

These tubs are "the same" in that the exterior dimensions are the same, the floors and wheel houses are the same, and the body mounts bolt through the chassis in the same places. I think the '74 adds another front body mount that the 60s body does not have. The firewall and toe kick will be quite a lot different, and the fuel tank location changes.

Realize that "the same" is really a subjective judgement, since there are changes you need to make to mount the body. The earlys (55-71) are more the "same" to the intermediates (72-75) than they are to the lates (76-83) which are more different.

The firewall is different where the pedals and steering go through easier to find a donor tub to cut that part from.

I have done this to my boys ride. Once you get eyes on an intermediate it will be a lot clearer. There is a factory seam there to help with lining it all back up. The floor just needs a little massaging for the pedal clearance.
