Those measurements will work for the brass float for the 7027082.

My carb is a 7041185 manual choke. Here are the specs that came with the quadrajetparts.com kit:

    Float level: 1-5/32"
    Float drop: 1-7/8"
    Pump rod adj. : 1-1/16"

Float measurements are from gasket surface to top of float at toe. I purchased a brass float from the same place and used these numbers, although I haven't started the rebuilt motor yet. Let me know if you need more info.

The brass float had a different spec, as float height and drop were measured at the seam IIRC.

    Patrick is correct.
I'll try and check tomorrow. I think I still have the tech sheet from the Daughter's carb rebuild.

If Nick doesn't have it, I'm relatively certain I have at least one tech sheet in my carb stuff...I can dig it out if need be.

SM-1046 gives 1 3/32" for standard and 1 5/32" for emisson controlled with air injection for upper end and 1 7/8" for drop. Pretty sure that data is for brass float version like the carb that came on my 68.

The picture in the SM1046 is showing the fiber float not the brass.

Fwiw, In my 1967 parts book there is no mention of a brass float......on the 225.

Crap, I forgot to look. Let me go check my FSM after dinner. If it's not in there, I'll pull my carb parts boxes down and grap a spec sheet.

OK, for brass float, the float level is 1/2", measured opposite hinge end, from outward bottom of seam to air horn gasket.
Float drop is either 1 9/32", or 1 27/32", measured from bottom of float to gasket surface.

These are for '66-'67, with brass float.

My Echlin rebuild kit info says 1 5/32" float level and 1 7/8" float drop. It specifies with a brass float to measure with gasket in place and measure from the gasket to the sharp edge of float seam at free end of float.
    This is for a 1971 225 listing.
