I did 11" fronts. Big difference, easy job.
It's a very easy conversion.
That is typical of the 9" front brakes. That and pulling to one side or the other. Upgrade to 11" front. I did it and it is a great improvement.

Glen is right about flux cored and welding outside.
The best I have used is "dual shield" Flux cored and gas. Weld anywhere, beautiful welds....
I have a Lincoln 220v MIG. I have used the 110 and think the portability is a good thing. Plug it in anywhere.
