the roll pin on my shifter was cracked in half.it's the pin that indexes the shifter and then the cap threads on ,anyone know the size of that pin ,I threw a loose one in there and it needs to be tighter ,but if I drive the bigger one in ,,,,,,how does it ever come back out ?or is it not a roll pin at all help?

    nickmil In mothballs.

It's not a roll pin. It's a solid steel pin that slides in and is held in place by the threaded cap. Available from PartsMike, R&P, etc. Iirc it's pretty hard too, almost like a bearing.

Don't know the size offhand - but Parts Mike sells a small parts kit for the T-18 shift tops. That's what I used when I replaced a fork on my J20.

IIRC it's a solid pin ... it has a part number - 912374, "Pin, floor gear shift lever fulcrum." Found no listing for that PN online.

On my T18, I found an appropriate diameter drill bit, and cut the appropriate length off of the shank. Worked fine.

I have been using a piece of steel rod from the hardware store for years. Drill bit sounds like a better idea.
