My 18 year-old son and I have lifted my tub on and off several times. If you pull the steering column and gear levers you can pick it up with one person on each side and walk it backward and off the frame easily. Just remember to lift with your back, not your kneesā€¦. or is that the other way around??? Oh well time to go see my chiropractor:)

Well had to take a break . I got some metal in my eye , but they where able to get it out . I got the tail panels cut and bent . 1 Has to be cut it is inch to wide ! Going to my fabricator shop I am going to get him to make the rear bumper or support for the valence and tail panels . I hope to get the floor panels and bracing tacked in with the floor riser. This is a lot !!!! Making my own panels and bracing hasa its price . wish me luck !!!!

Any time but I don't think you need any. (inspiration) Your moving along just fine. Jeep moving under its own power will inspire most youngsters. :)

In this day an age of instant gratification, it's hard for kids to see the light at the end of the tunnel if things aren't happening quick enough for them.... I go thru this with my stepson. We are rebuilding a 78 F-250 for him so he can gain valuable skills along the way...but, they just seem to need to see major progress all the time or they lose interest. It's hard to get him going sometimes.... I've told him I'm happy to help, but I'm not going to do the work for him. He needs to learn.

^ My son who's 18 has shown little interest when it comes to working on cars with me until he spent his own $ on a Datsun 280Z. Now he's working on it all the time, he even bought a parts car. What's cool is he's been able to do just about everything on his own. When I ask how he knew what to do, he says "from watching you". Lump in throat.

My father never showed much interest in the MB. I suppose he was happy that I was out there working on it and staying out of trouble. He did enjoy driving it
