    I finally figured out where the paint color code tag is on the $ sink, reads 431 340 I understand the 431 represents Avacado mist poly, does anyone know what the 340 means??? :coffee:

    I think it's the trim code. Jim (jpflat2a) has been able to decode those. Hang on a few days and he might chime in.

    The Jeep Illustrated Buyer's Guide does list 431 as Avacado Mist metallic, but doesn't have a listing for 340. :? 134 is Olive Drab...maybe it borrowed the "1" from the 431. :p

    340 = Charcoal
    It will have black sides and backs with black/white stripes in the inserts. Piping is also black. DYK

    The tag is about 3/4 inch wide by 2 inches long. it is made of thin aluminum and has one set of numbers stamped into it from each end. the underhood area of the $ sink is undercoated about 3/8" thick so I had a tough time finding it, mounted just above the battery on the firewall set at a bit of an angle like they just slapped it on as it was leaving the plant. by the looks of the "glue" that was on the back it wouldn't have been there if they hadn't have undercoated the heck out of it. :stout:

    Yes, that's all the trim refers to. No other trim or item is involved in the number. In fact, it doesn't even specify the number or type (front or rear passenger) of seats. Hope this helps. BTW, that specific vinyl color seat was shown here before.
