Is there a trick to getting the engine bay heater duct on the grille hole flange? I can't seem to get in there w/ my hands. Too tight of an area, and I'd rather not remove the grill &/or fender to do it. Any tips? :?

It is tight quarters down there, but I managed to get mine on with my fingers, several times by now. I zip-tied it on, reaching underneath to help loop the tie around.

I found it easier to remove the flange, attach the hose, and then reattach the flange. Not easy either way, but this is what worked for me...

Hippo: It's fun isn't it! ;) When I replaced mine, the old came off eaisly. But the new, well, just say many cuss words hit the air. Had to do a lot of "twisting". Mine is held on by a big hose clamp. I also have small hands. :)

Old Bill: that baby's spot welded on or something, so it's not coming off.
Jim: I've got 2 large hoseclamps ready to go on 'er. Can't forsee how it's going to get on thar tho. :(

Alan: I just slid the hose clamp over the duct and twisted it "round & round" till it was all on the little flange. Not easy, but it worked.

    Good Luck.

JC Whitney has it. Don't have the link, but do a search for "air duct hose" or something like that...

I ordered a new hose from Aircraft Spruce. They have all sizes of vent tubing used on aircraft and you order it by the foot and diameter. They have different types depending on the temperature it is exposed to as well as the enviroment. Go to www.aircraftspruce.com. It is called CAT, SCAT, CEET or SCEET. I think I got the 5" CAT @ about $7 per foot. h
