Have the long clutch cable set-up and broke the little knob off the adjuster nut, and I am also missing the clutch fork return spring. It seems that I can find the adjuster nut from many of the standard ECJ suppliers, but none seem to carry the clutch fork return spring. I have seen the spring for the 4cyl but not the V6 225. Anyone know where to either find one or what its size and spring constant is and maybe I can find something similar at the hardware store?

    thanks - James

I made a bracket, and bought a universal spring from FLAPS. If you go this route check the bracket for clearance with re-guard to the brake pedal.

Yes, just get a packet of springs from the HELP peg at the parts store, and find one that fits. All the spring does is keep the release bearing off of the clutch fingers when the pedal is at rest, and keep the pushrod end in the release arm pocket. This require much less force than the clutch action, and is a non-critical application.

There should be a place for the original spring to attach - ie you should not have to make a bracket.

Thanks - I think I got something that will work. There is already a little bracket to connect the spring to - not sure if its original or not but it will work and keeps the spring in line with the cable on the other side of the fork. Good to know that it can be a 'soft' spring.
