Got a 96 EFI 2.3, pinto bell housing, flat adapter, and a 55 cj 5.....

Now I'm unsure of what throw out bearing, release arm, and crank bushing to use.

I've read a bunch over and over at Novak, so am looking for the pinto pressure plate as mine is quite thick, and a jeep disc. Whatever T/O bearing will ride on the T90 shaft, as this adapter isn't like the Novak one with a new tube sticking out for it.

The motor came out of a ranger, and all the hydraulic clutch stuff went to the J/Y, so no spare parts there.

I've also checked the 3b page with the turbo 2.3, but still no specifics on the bearing and arm.

Anyways, thanks for any and all help!!!

It could be a Novak adapter. They used to make a kit with a sleeve that went onto the Jeep bearing retainer. The current kit is a new improved design.

I'd give Novak a call. They have a rep for being helpful.

I second that! Even with an oddball setup like my ford 302/ sm420, they were eager to help and easy to deal with!
