Nice work on the ammo can console. I've seen some people cut or mount cup holders on the top lid and/or add a tray on the lid for small items.

What kind of steering column is that? Flaming river?

It'll get cup holders, and a tray or something....And maybe a padded armrest. The steering column is from Tri-C.

They look like they are hard foam.......no cushion........judging from the pictures at the bottom of the linked ad. Maybe that's what you're after, though.??

Is that a 20mm ammo can? Looks like a completely perfect fit.

    50mm.
I have no idea how hard or soft a yoga block is, but for 10 bucks I'm willing to find out..;)

I had a set of "KC type" light housings. These take the PAR36 4" bulbs. I painted them to match the Jeep and I put some 100W sealed beam aircraft landing lights in them. I think they look better than the standard 6" lights.

I didn't like the cheap universal coolant recovery tank, so I made this one. Much like the one I did on the old white Jeep.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Amazing transformation in such a short time.

Huge difference from the first pic you posted in this thread.

Looks great - I really like all of the cleaning up you did w/ this one!

The yoga block turned out to be perfect for an armrest as far as density, IMO. It's now over at my Mom's getting upholstery..:)

After much fuss and to do, I ended up with nothing more than a yoga block, covered in naugahyde, and velcro'ed to the lid. It works, it's very comfortable, and if you skip all the other BS I went through first, the total cost is a little over $20 and I have another block still and nearly a yard of upholstery left.[IMG] [IMG]

Some of you might remember the aluminum Mustang radiator and electric fan I installed on my white '67.
My Dad had the original radiator in the Tux re-cored when he built the Jeep, and it's still in fine shape. But, I really liked the electric fan in the old Jeep, so I installed the same 2000CFM Flex-A-Lite fan, and a Derale adjustable controller..Nothing on the radiator was altered, so I can go back to stock if I choose. So far, this is working well.

Controller, mounted next to the thermostatically controlled transmission cooler.

New tires.. I've been a BFG fan for years. I put a set of the new KO2's on my truck last spring, then a set on the TJ last summer, so I figured the Tux needed some. I also got some stainless trim rings for the cheapy Soft 8 wheels. I don't do much mud, and I specifically bought rings that don't cover the bead area (rock damage) so they should be fine. I think they dressed those wheels right up..:) I stayed with the 33X10.50

    Patrick,
Love the looks of the rims with the chrome trim.
Looking at the pictures, I noticed your rock sliders, can you get some better pictures of them and how they are mounted? I'm looking for something to help protect my rockers, especially if I go on the Rubicon this summer.
    Thanks, Rob
