thanks for the pic tim. just wanted to see if the uprights were right behind the seats. i might do a double upright one where yous is pictured and one just a tad forward and then do the front hoop and tie them all together. the ting is cages look really funny on cj6's but that is my observation.

Nice find. Sometimes I wish I still had my Fhead. It ran on varnish, and was quiet as a mouse. GeoffreyL on the forum here has it. I hope it 's doing well.

isn't there supposed to be an oil filter on these 4 cylinder engines? i've looked all over and cannot find it

Should have a canister filter on top right next to the dip stick.

no canister filter. where does the canister filter get it's supply from?

There's a fitting under the fuel pump for the feed, and the filter returns on top of the timing cover

so then the filter is an optional item? you would think it should be there on all engines.

yeah there are times when i look at pictures of other rigs and they seem long. even when i look at mine there are times it seems like that too. guess it is how it is set up (cage, lift, tires) that change the character of the jeep

well..picked up a donor vehicle for the 4.3 swap. the thing is in decent shape. it's a 97 blazer with the 4.3 throttle body. too bad all i need is just the engine and harness the rest will go to the scrapyard. what all am i going to need as far as the harness goes? will i need anything else from this thing for my swap?
