So you have a side-shift T-90? To use the top shifter, you have to take the transmission apart and remove the shift arms. Then you can drop the top-shifter cover on and it will work.

You'll need the transmission to go with it. Also you'll have to mod the dash a bit.

There's also a lot of wear points, it will probably need going through to provide some semblance of tight shifting, or at least "tighter than really loose" shifting.

You'll win Neatness Points for having it though :)

Like Howard says you would have to change the dash to put a column shift in a CJ 5, the Tux dash has a notch in it for the shifter to go through. I went the other way, put a floor shift in my TP, I like the solid shift in the floor shift. I kept the column shift parts, including the dash.

If you choose not to go with the column shift, I would be interested in the column parts. I want to put my Tux back to the original shifter.

By all means, drag it home if you can. If it has the chrome bumpers, front and rear, those are nice pieces to find. Even the rear bumper mounts are hard to find. The center gate mounted license bracket and light are desirable too. Check to see if it still has the chrome Hall 701 tail lights. I'd love to have a bumper or two to send off to be replated.
