Cj5 Wide Radiator Shroud

    I'm trying to convert my '66 CJ5 from the old narrow style radiator to the newer wide style ('72-83). What is the name of the metal shroud part that goes between the grill and the radiator? I've tried radiator should, fan shroud, etc with no luck. Does anyone know the name of the part and/or where to get one?

    AFAIK it's not a separate item, it's part of the grill assembly. If you want the wider rad you'll need the grill from a '72 up donor.

    You may or may not have fun grafting it into your '66. :rolleyes:

    Should be an easy junkyard item. I'd expect half new.

    Its called the Core Support and, as above, on a CJ it's not separate from the grille.

    Thanks for the info. Guess I need to start looking for a newer CJ5 grill with the wide radiator support.
