Disc Brake Clips

    I am finally getting around to putting my cj5 73 back together. It has the front disc brakes.I can't remember how the disc brakes go on. Any body have a picture.I really need to know how the anti rattle clips go back on and what they look like. Lost mine

    The 73 came with drum brakes.
    look at some of the parts and research the part numbers to figure out what they came off. I used Google images and rock auto to match up the 11" brakes on my M38.

    It's possible you have Jeep front disk brakes from a later CJ. You can put the knuckle-out complete from a disk brake CJ to convert from drums to disks. The first year for optional disk brakes was 1977. If you look on the Tom Collins site, there are a few TSMs you could look at with pictures of the CJ front disk brakes.     I have the disc brakes on front from a 77 the are 11 inch. It must have been done from the previous owner
