While sand blasting the frame on my 1966 CJ 5A I found those 2 numbers about 7 inches behind the front bumber. 622L on the driver side and 622R on the passenger side. What is the meaning of those numbers.

I also found the number 750 stamp on the frame right under the battery. That number correspond to the last 3 digits of the VIN.

Probably only has meaning to the workers on the factory floor. Left and right, obviously.

The sequential part of the VIN is normally stamped near the location you found the 750. Suggest you scrub and see if you can reveal the whole number. Possible the stamping is defective, and only the last three digits made it.

The number with the "750" digits should be the last 5 digits of the serial number. There are 2 more.
These other numbers are the Willys part numbers for the left and right frame rails.
