I’m planning on doing the rear brake lines tonight on the 79/5 and would like to pick up the lines at lunch. Would I be correct with a 3/16 line? Thanks.

Your best bet is to call the local Chrysler dealer who has the warehouse phone number for Jeep parts. they are very helpful and have an amazing selection of parts if you're ever stuck. I think their '79 parts books are still on the shelves.

    Yeah, I'm 50% sure it's a 3/16" line. (j/k - more like 90%)

Not sure about the 79's but my 72 had a 1/4" line to the rear when I replumbed it last year. :D

It's 3/16, but I had to clean up and reuse the male fitting that goes into the metering valve, if you wanted you can buy a 3/16 to 1/4 adaptor. My fitting didn't look bad so I reused it. Thanks for the help.
