Distributor lobes worn?

    Can distributor lobs become so worn that the points don't make contact. If so, can you replace the lobs without replacing the distributor? BTW I have a Delco Distributor. :v6: :flag:

    I suppose anything is possible, but highly unlikely IMO
    the rubbing block on the points is either nylon/plastic and would wear much faster than the lobes

    Yup, and usually the distibuter shaft bushings wear before the lobes wear down.......
