Boomerang shackles on ECJ5?

    anyone running a bommerang shackle on their rig? i was thinking of fabbing some up out of 1/4 plate and wanted to see how they were. i am wanting about 2" of lift with them

    To get 2" of lift out of shackles, they are going to be 4" longer than stock shackles, and IMO, that's way too long for a shackle... No offense, just my opinion...

    so 2" over stock will get me 1" of lift?

    that sound more reasonable. big long shackle scare me. lol

    Yup...:D
    The center of the spring, where the axle bolts to, is in the center of the spring. therefore, you get half the amount of lift as the length of the shackle.....

    Also you haev to consider your pinion angel changes and caster/camber changes...

    it should change that much with just a 1" lift shackle. if it does i can shim though.
