The passenger side mount has let go from the radiator. Can I just use a propane torch to solder it back together or should I take it to a shop to have it repaired?

I wouldn't - I'd think you'd have to heat it fast, locally. My guess is that a propane torch isn't hot enough - the heat would diffuse faster than you could make the repair.

I have repaired my radiator that way. It isn't that hard to do. Drain the radiator, then brushed it with a wire brush, put the flux on, pushed the tab to the radiator and heat. Keep the heat in the center of the tab until the soder(?) melts and is pulled under. Remove heat and let cool. I would recommend a profesional shop. My question is how long will my soder job hold up. I've done mostly hiway driving with a few offroad trips. It's almost time for a new radiator.

What Tim said. You need a brazing tip on an oxy-acetylene torch to get decent results. A propane torch just doesn't have enough oomph in a concentrated area to get decent results. Remeber, a radiator is designed to diffuse heat, and it does that very well!
