I've finished my 9"-11" brake upgrade and am replacing the metal brake lines that I got from Walck's. The last line to be replaced is the long one from the front to the rear. The connection in the rear is bigger than the end on the line. I'm bypassing the stock rubber hose the old line went to and am going directly to the connection on the rear end. Anyone know the size of of the reducer I'll need? Once I get this done all that's left is to bleed the brakes and take it for a test ride.

Are you saying you're going to run the metal line that comes up along the frame straight to the Tee on the rear axle?

    Howard.

Don't do it, you NEED that rubber hose to flex with the axle. You are just asking for the line to fail from fatigue if you run a steel line from the frame down to the axle housing without a flex-line in there!

I was going to delete the rubber hose since the metal line is so long but now I won't. Thanks guys. Now on to plan "B".
