    Hello again all,
I am in need of a power steering pulley for my 258. I can get the pump at the local parts house, but not the pulley. My motor has all the necessities to hook it up if only I could find a pulley.
    Thanks

haven't really got far enough along on my project to say for sure, but i would think that any of your local junkyards with a late seventies to mid eighties GM vehicle that used a saginaw pump could probably be a doner. I don't think pulley diameter will really be an issue , but i could be wrong.
Some of the other guys { and gals } on this forum have a lot of valuable info.Maybe some of them can offer more insight than myself.

Yeah, I don't know of any source other than a wrecking yard. If it's the stock setup, you need to make sure the pulley diameter isn't too far off, and that the offset is right. If you have a big u-pull-it yard in your area, you could make some measurements and search.

I can measure the diameter of the pulley on my truck if it will help.

    Yeah, that would be great.
The local junk-yard here isn't very helpful, it seems like they've already made their fortune and don't want to go bother looking for small parts such as this.

that seems to be the case with all the yards around here also. If your'e not buying a complete front end for a 2 year vehicle they won't even talk to you.

would try some of the larger jeep parts houses, or post a WTB.

Outside diameter is 5.5". The center of the V is 1.625" back from the end of the pump shaft.

I just purchased a P/S pump from ebay. I will not be using the pulley. I believe it is a 6" dia pulley. If your interested, let me know. It hasn't arrived yet but should be here this week.
