I know this is on the Jeepster, but thought it might get a little more visibility here. I am getting ready to put an add a leaf in my rear springs. I am pretty confident with getting things apart, now getting them back together is where I have a couple of questions. First, what should I paint them with? Should put I anything in between the leaves when they go back topether?

Second, should I reuse the spring clamps? If not where is a good place to grab new ones. I know this has probably been discussed before, but I couldn't find anything in the search.

    TIA

Mostly the cost factor right now. I have a set of multileaf rear springs that I picked up cheap. I am hoping to use them for a little while until I can afford the custom made ones the Jeepster will require. No standard kits for the Jeepster.
