poly bushings & rear crossmember

just bought these:

Hopefully there will be everything in the set......cause if they are indeed all there, with the exception of shocks my frame should be completed

The rear crossmember (where the body mounts) is totally shot on my CJ.....you guys think some angle iron would work for a replacement?

 

Stock '73 tank hangs from the frame, unless you replace it with a poly tank.

Channel would be good though. You can also use premade hat channel from Raybucks, probably others. http://raybuck.com/

 

hmmmm, you guys are probly right about the c-channel......my jeep didn't have a tank or skidplate when i got it.

c-channel it is then.....better safe than sorry !

 

Yes, but the skid plate is an option in the Intermediates - the tank has to stay put without the SP. IIRC (long ago!) the SP dodges around the tank bolts, but bolts for each go into the same surface. The front of the tank ties to the frame with brackets. Another '76-on change I suppose.
