Carb is popping

    I've got a 304 with a Edlebrock intake and 4bbl carb. When I get on it opening the 4bbls it starts to pop through the carb. To much fuel? I'm having a brain fart.:beer:

    I would say lean.....maybe accelerator pump or timing?

    Not unknown in an AMC V8. Bad scene if that's the problem (complete disassembly is the right response). Take off the valve covers and crank the engine; watch the rockers.
