Has anybody tried this? If so, what kind of a beating can they take? Also, will installing it muck up my recently corrected steering?

Just b/c you repeat yourself dosnt mean we'll automatically figure out what your talking about. A link would be very helpfull also what year Jeep?? I've see the BD stuff on newer TJ's and they've held up just fine if that helps any.

then the polite thing to say would have been "no," instead of his rocket science answer "what."

The link that JD7 included is spot on (thanks!). As far as the year, an intermediate... mine is a 75, my buddy's is a 73.

and thanks to you for the TJ info!

Seems expensive for a tie rod end.

I think so, too, but mine is bowed a bit. The drag link is fine. I could replace the whole assembly with the same as stock, but since I've beefed up everything else, I am wondering if I should leave a weak link.

Do you think I'd be better off just going back with a stock unit?

By the way, I brought my CJ home from my shop today (but I managed to kill the lights, I need to pull the dash again lol)

I used the Big Daddy HD tie rod and drag link on my '71 CJ-6 with AA saginaw steering conversion. Well worth the money. Very nice quality and extremely strong. Went on with no problems and survived my bashing it on a few rocks over the Rubicon.

You'll need to readjust your steering when you install the new tie rod and/or drag link. Just lay the new pieces next to the old ones and adjust to the same length.
