Ok I am helping a friend work on a 48 2a. We have the shop manual and it shows 2 springs that go on the shaft the two sticks pivot on. These seem to be missing on his t-case. My question is two fold a) Are these to keep the sticks in position and b) would anyone have a source for them?

    Thanks

I think they are 'anti-rattle springs' ... should be available from Walck's, Turner, etc.

Tim is right, mine's got them. I suggest making them out of some 20ga, that's what I'd do but it's all good.

Not good, these are made of spring steel, regular material wouldn't last more than a couple of weeks. These are to cheap to woory about making, about $6 for a pair of them.

True, but I'd temper them too... $6 plus shipping and me not having a charge it card, I have the scraps around for it.
