    Besttop lists 1955-1975 CJ-5 and 1951-1962 M38A-1

    I have a 1968 M38A-1 CDN2.

The tiger top lists for 1955-1971 CJ-5 and M38A-1

Does anyone know if the Supertop will fit the 1968 m38a-1?

    Besttop couldn't tell me.......nice guys.

I can't find any reference to windshield or tub changes up to 1971.

In terms of top fitment (AFAIK) all the M38A1 and CJ-5s use the same top, from 1951-1975. Can't say for certain about the Canadian Jeeps though ... but it seems highly unlikely that Jeep would have produced a different design for the Canadian military.

Just wondering, since the Supertop doesn't use snaps is there anything on the body that would interfere with the rail system for the Supertop? Isn't that what it uses, some kind of slide in deal?

Super Top used a Belt Rail System. It consists of am L shaped rail the bolts to the tub, You then hook a plastic retainer in it that is sewn to the top fabric.
You need a Bestop part number 51959 and a color code. You can go to www.bestop.com to see color choices.
