Roll bar

will a roll bar from a cj2a fit in a early cj5? thanks

 

I'd measure your '5 and the roll bar to make sure. Since 2A's didn't come with roll bars, it's either aftermarket or home-built/custom-built. I've got a roll bar from a '5 in my 2A. It's the type that bolts to the top of the wheel wells. Fits perfectly under the hard top, too. So I'm inclined to think the short answer to your question is "yes." But I'd measure everything to double check.

Nope, not AFAIK. I believe the width between the rails is different. A CJ-5 rollbar is a very tight fit - you have to compress it hard to get it between the tub rails.

 

Tim, isn't he asking for a 2A roll bar in a 5, not a 5 roll bar in a 2A? Unless I'm wrong. Which may be...

 

Yep. If the 2A is narrower across the beam, then its bar would sit on the CJ-5 wheelwells. How much narrower, I don't know. Whether that's a 'fit' or not, you'd have to decide.
