Nice, man! That's what I'm talking about!

The owner of that M38 I've been lusting over told me to make him an offer the other day, but I'm kinda scared to. I don't have a place to put the thing, and I don't really know how much to offer. It's a driver, just needs the fuel system flushed real good, and probably some other tinkering, but he used to drive it a lot.

Are you talking about the one you posted pics of awhile back? If so I would say $1500-$2500 is a fair offer depending on if the 24 volt parts are there. The 24 volt stuff is expensive to replace. I know where there are 4 more m38's just sitting owned. 2 are owned by one guy just an 1/2 hour south of me, the other 2 are right in the town I live in, these two are restorable, the other two are good parts rigs, neither owner will sell them, said they will restore them some day.

I wish I had a better camera, the one I am using is very old so the pics are not the best

I also frogot to mention on my drive up to take the pics I almost hit a very big doe, that would have sucked after all the work I have done.

Yeah, this one. I've looked it over pretty close, and the only body damage I can readily see is a small gash on the driver's fender (look right in front of the step). All the 24v stuff is gone, and it has an electric fuel pump. He got it after it had been a Civil Defense vehicle for years.

I'll offer him $1500 and see what he says. I told him I just bought a M1, and he's itching to shoot it. He lives deep in the hills so shooting is no problem, and he brews his own beer, so maybe we can "discuss" it. I'll bring a bunch of tracers we can shoot across the valley. I'll find a place to put it somewhere, if I have to put it in the backyard and plant shrubbery all around it. The top would have to go though.
