Wiper Guts

    I have a 1975 CJ that the wiper pivots have become stripped, and the linkages are worn. Can I buy 1976 linkage kit and install? It looks like the linkage is slightly different, but it looks like if I install all 1976 guts, it might work...

    1975 guts are hard to find.....

    It wont be a direct install but you have to lengthen both linkage rods.

    Yes, the '76-on linkage parts will work with some modification. If you search for 'wiper linkage' there are lots of previous posts.

    i recently trashed my windsheild from my '73. i gutted my frame of everything, including my wiper components, motor, cover, etc...i never posted it for sale yet, but was planning on doing so in the future. i'm not saying it is for sale (as i know the moderators hate us not posting in the classifieds), but if your interested in taking this stuff off my hands, send me and email or message.
    i would imagine it is all the same parts.

    I just did this to my '75. and have some extra parts..i'd be happy to ship to ya. I think I even still have the box. PM me if ya want them. I used the '76 kit and made it fit. not too bad of a job, pretty easy.
