I've installed two and I was happy with the results. Think the owners were too.

Didja see their 5" lift kit???

2" shackles and a 3" body lift? They need to redo their Jeep math. That's only ~4".

The marketing approaches that some people are willing to use are frightening. That would be like me saying that my rockers are all the armor you'll ever need.

Personally, I think shackles, 4" over stock (2" lift), are a little too long.

A few months ago I exchanged e-mails with Mako Mfg. The 2" lift puzzled me -- Must be 1" lift, 2" over stock length? I asked for the length eye-to-eye and also asked if they made a 1/2" lift. They replied they "didn't make anything that small". Hello --- what about how long?? I sent another e-mail and they didn't reply. :?

So, long story short, I took my money elsewhere and went with a proven track record shackle --Con Ferr, which was $30/set more and worth it IMO.

The 4wd hardware kit rides nice by my standards. Springs were surprisingly beefy.

The balding 31's I have on it now look a little dwarfed by the lift, but I think it will be just right with the ~32 x 9.5 TrXus MT's that I will put on in the next few weeks.

My jeep lean was cured and Sparky got to bust his knuckles 'til they were black and blue.

I (and my Dad) are very happy with the Skyjacker 2.5" softride. They offer a "fitted" leaf for the rear if you have a tire carrier, etc. Dad did have a RR spring sag a few months ago, and Skyjacker warranteed it (Dad had to pay shipping)

Forgive my newbiness please, but is BDS the abbreviation for the Warn Black Diamond Suspension? 'Cause that's what I was planning on running....just wanted to make sure that it's as good as I think it will be. (gotta beat the 35 year old sagging stock springs, right ;) )

BDS was formerly Big Dick's Suspension. When they became a serious competitor in the off-road suspension business, they revised their name to be PC  :D

Doh...that BDS. so that one's pretty good, huh? Cool, thanks.

Yeah, I knew that Warn sold their suspension, but I didn't think anybody would recognize Woods Ready Distributing, Inc.

How much for the BDS system? And has anybody here installed the 2.5" Glide ride kit? I'm not sure if I want to raise my jeep that much. I'll be intalling 32" BFG MT next month with an additional 2.5" lift kit; that'll bring my jeep up almost 4" from where I am right now.
