Has anyone seen these Placards before? I know I saw a thread about someone having the Additional Warranty Decal on the dash, but the Brass Placard is pretty cool (IMO). It's on the dash of my '69, but it indictates a delivery date to the USFS of April 1968.

Not uncommon for US service vehicles. There's a USDA Jeep in the "Featured Jeeps" that has brash dash plaques as well.

Thanks Sparky. I read the thread about someone messing up the warranty decal by trying to clean it with some sort of solvent and having to have it reproduced. I want to remove the brass placard and clean it up, although I am afraid I'll remove the black printed material by accident. Perhaps some Brasso, or would that be too harsh? Ideas anyone?

Off today for Vets Day, need to get busy with the Jeep, I want it on the road next spring.:coffee:

I forgot to mention, I think these are really cool things to have on a Jeep. :)

Me too, which is why I'd like to keep it on the dash, but shine it up a bit. Perhaps it will add to the "Provenence" and make my rig worth "millions", because by the time I get it restored, that's what my wife will claim I have in to it. R)
