F Head - OE block color

    Anyone know what the correct color is for a F head engine block from a 1963 cj5?

    Check the search feature. Silver and black seem to be predominate, depends on if it is/was a high altitude engine or not. Also slightly different compression ratings.

    I searched past threads but it left me a little confused. Seems black was the predominent color but there was mention of other colors yellow (high alt) and blue (low alt). There was also talk about orange/red blocks. I was not sure if there was any concrete info on what a "63 f head would have. Guess I'll go with black. Thanks

    I figured black would be good, after all it has all the colors in the rainbow in it so your covered if anyone questions your decision.
