Took my 72's windshield frame off today to work on the wiper mechanism and discovered that the frame is rotton under the wiper motor area.
First question, any of you guys used the one that 4wd hardware offers?
Second question, anybody got a good used one for sale? ( I live in central NC)
    Thanks in advance.

Used one on my 66 and 75. Fit well. Had a couple extra bolt holes that weren't needed. I just put bolts in them before I painted it.Didn't know if I would ever want or need the holes so I didn't fill/weld them.

I think wherever you get it it'll be a Crown product so look for the best price. I bought one and except for some minor adjustments was pretty much the same as my old one, minus the cancer of course. Unless you buy it from someone in Arizona I'd shy away from used ones. They'll probably be much like the one you are replacing.:v6:

Is there something that goes into those two holes on the inside of the 69-75 frame, not the w/s wiper holes on the outside? My 56 frame didnt have holes and where can I get them.

Plastic plugs. Those are access holes for the wiper linkage

I think they are a commodity part. One manufacturer is Caplug (pronounced k-plug) which could likely supply them. The trick would be getting them to sell (give?) you the two (?) you need for your Jeep. http://www.caplugs.com/catalog/starpage.asp?seriesID=5&classid=222

You might try contacting their local sales rep and see if they will help you. It will all depend on the personality/attitude of the sales people... worth a try.

I looked at the part on 4wd.com. It looks alot like the windshield frame I have. I thought the 69-75 had motors on the outside and the windshield hinge was different. Help me out guys?

Yes... I don't see what the conflict is. The hinge is the same from 54-75 AFAIK. After 1975, the hinges change a little, and the latches are completely different. Your '73 should be like the 69-75 frame - and have the motor under a cover on the DS outside corner.
