Okay, I guess that I'm just not used to an electrical gauge. I really liked the mechanical because it still worked when the engine was off.

I've had no problems running the plastic line....but I do carry a copper kit along just in case :D

Copper and high pressure oil= a No-No. Copper can fatigue, that's why they use a nylon type. Works fine, just keep it away from the manifold/headers.

Electric is my choice. Easier to run wires into the cab than plumbing in lines and there's no chance of a leak. On my old Jeeps, absolute accuracy is not required. If I have a problem it's going to go full tilt tango-uniform anyway so any gauge that's even in the ballpark will work. I just need to know when I need to pull to the side and shut her down.

BTW the nylon oil line fits real nice inside 5/32" vacuum tube. Protects the whole length of the tube. Put the vacuum tube on before you tighten the fittings.

I was considering hooking up another electrical temperature gauge to supplement the one in the speedometer cluster on my 75 w/258. I would like to have both of them operational.

Do I have to use another sending unit or can I just wire both gauges into the one existing sending unit ?

    Thanks........
