tach quits with lights on??

    Anyone want to take a stab at why my electric tach quits when I turn the lights(running or headlights) on?

    are the lights and tach on the same circuit?.......

    Does the tach have a back light and is it wired to the lights on the Jeep?
    Wondering if the tach itself isn't grounded well, and is feeding back thru the light circuit until you turn the lights on....Double check all your tach wires to make sure they're going to the right places.;)
    Red-12V. Black-ground. green- neg. on the coil. White- light. IIRC
