84 CJ 7 Fuel and Temp Guage help

    The temp and fuel gauge are not working so I did a search on wireing diagrams and found this one.

    On the diagram it shows the fuel guage having three terminals one for a pink wire, a jumper to the fuel guage and one for a red wire, my fuel guage only has two terminals, also there is no place for the light that is supposed to be between the fuel and temp guage.

    So:
    Has a PO replaced the speedo with an incorrect one?
    If so can I make these guages work and how do I do it?

    That diagram is earlier than an '84. I'd guess it's as early as '76 or '77. My '82 manual shows two wires, one red and one pink, with a jumper to the temp gauge.
