What drive do I need for the threaded freeze plugs that are at the front of the block inside oil galley and front behind the timing cover? I have no idea how to get them out.

    they aren't freeze plugs
I'd call them galley plugs and yes they are threaded.

Whatever they are, the insert is in between 1/4" drive and 3/8" drive. I used a micrometer and they measure 8mm and they're square.

5/16" square drive. 8 mm is very close to 0.3125". 25.4 mm/in, 8/25.4 = 0.3150", with a little slack to fit the bit. You should be able to buy a bit, but the cheapest is likely to buy a piece of 5/16" square key stock and use that with a crescent wrench.
