spring position

    I have a 74 CJ-5 mostly stock, but I believe after market springs. Front and rear both have 5 leafs. One spring side has 2 clips, and the other has 1. The rear has the 2 clips mounted between the axle and the frame. The front has the 2 clip side mounted between the axle and the shackle side. I would think both should be mounted the same. I am guessing that the side with one clip would be more flexible, and should be positioned on the shackle side, as it is on the rear. Any opinion would be appriciated.
