Hi i have a cj5 1975 and i just burn the wiper motor (outside). I got one friend who gave me a wiper motor from a cj5 1976 (inside motor). And i read that both motor are different but when i look at them they seem exactly the same from the exterior...the only difference is the braket to fix it but i can use the one on my previous wiper motor.

So if there anyone know what difference they have and any reason i cant put the 76 wiper motor over my 1975 jeep cj5 ?

The bracket is the only difference. Take the bracket off the old motor and put it on the new motor.

You burned up a new motor? I hope not. You may have connected it up wrong or if it was a "new" older motor the contacts inside the motor may have been bad. I have seen a motor try to park itself and keep running even though you turned off the switch. This will eventually burn up the motor and/or the contacts. In my opinion the contacts inside the motor are really poor. They were poor when brand new and worse when 40 years old. I sure hope it doesn't rain when I'm driving so I don't have to run my old motor very much.

The motor could have shorted out internally. I just had that happen with a re-manufactured starter.
