Jeep was running great all month. Leaving Friday for Rubicon weekend. This week had an issue pulling a grade at 50--lurching and sputtering and all I could do to keep it running. Even getting it going again was hard. 225 v6. Found a fuel line leak which I though would do the trick. Fixed the line and no change. Fuel filter is 1 year old as is the fuel pump. I can not tell if it is a carb issue. Fuel is getting there so I dont think it is the fuel pump. Or could it be a coil? I need help with next steps. I think fuel filter change just to rule it out and then maybe coil?? What would my next progression of checks be after that?
    Thank you for any input.

I'd start with checking fuel volume judging by your symptoms..

Any black smoke out the exhaust? Sharp miss, or bogging?

No smoke or backfire. Actually runs smooth at start up and low speeds and easy driving. Pulling a grade and sputter sputter. How do I check fuel volume??

pull off the hose at carb (or pump), place into container, and start engine and let idle
unrestricted, it should fill a pint container in no time
I'd just blow thru the fuel filter first, easy way to check
