Trying to add 2 sticks to my t/c but having issues seperating t/c from trans. I have loosened all bolts between the two, it seperates a little but I see that something is preventing seperation. I have an overdrive installed and removed it and the retainer keeper and star looking gizmo. There is another hex looking keeper in there, does it need to be removed? I'm missing something I know and learning on the job. thanks

Even though it looks kind of like a hex it's actually a square drive. A 1/2" drive extension works well here.
