I am in the process of cleaning up a frame for boxing and I can't seem to remember what this bracket is for. I want to say a trackbar or steering support but i am not 100% sure but i don't think it is factory. front right on frame.

Frame is a 73' (or should be)

Under the spray can, next to the jack? It looks like it might be the power steering gear box bracket...can't really say for sure though.

Now I see it (I suck at Where's Waldo too). Can't say for sure. I don't believe track bars were put in until late 70's, could be aftermarket though?

You might try browsing the parts diagrams at http://oljeep.com/edge_74_parts_manual.html to see if you see one. It's a '74-'76 catalog but you might spot something.

Where you mount the brake line?

forward from where you mount the brake line. On the same side as the space heater, in between the brake line thingy and the shackle hanger.

Is it welded or bolted to the frame? My 74 had something similar bolted to the frame. Best I could figure it was a bump stop for the passenger side spring. When I removed mine I crushed the bottom cover of the oil pump with the diff housing, on the 304.

Not factory, not for '73. A better picture might help.

yes that. I know it isn't factory, and it is welded on. I am more curious then anything really. can't get a better pic for a while sorry.
