231 even fire and a 225 odd fire pressure plate

    I have done some reading on the forum and on the internet and would like to hear from you the forum on "the need to have the machine work done on the odd fire pressue plate to have it work with a even fire motor? Has anybody done this or not and does it work by not doing it?

    Pressure plate, not flywheel? Most people would just buy the right pressure plate, aka clutch cover. They are a consumable part ...

    The pressure plate is neutrally balanced and should become mechanically invisible when bolted to the flywheel.

    What they said. The flywheel needs rebalanced to work with an even fire engine but not the pressure plate assembly.
